PIANO SERVICE EXPERIENCE
I have over 40 years experience tuning and repairing all major brands of pianos. I have recently relocated to Lawrence, KS and am tuning in this area. I was the Piano Technician for Fort Hays University, Hays, KS for 27 years, servicing 45 pianos initially, down to 26 pianos more recently; tuning for faculty studios, recitals, concerts, and guest artists. I also serviced clientele in Hays and the NW KS region.
FORMAL TRAINING
I received my training at the Piano Shop in Grand Rapids, MI with a 1 year apprenticeship where they sold pianos and rebuilt grand pianos. I learned all aspects of the piano rebuilding process, repair and tuning by the owner – the concert Piano Tuner for the Grand Rapids Symphony. I received certification from Aubrey Willis School of Piano Tuning and Repair(Correspondence Course)
I am certified with the Piano Technicians Guild as a Registered Piano Technician.
